This Footpath Games collection includes a variety of fun and engaging games like different versions of Hopscotch, Follow the Line, Silly Walks, Mirror Me, Snakes and Letters. Developed by Catalyse to provide simple ways of placemaking, the tool is about bringing elements of play into utilitarian public spaces and transforming them from ordinary to vibrant, interactive environments where people can connect positively with one another and with the place they are in. Having fun and being creative can be a great way to engage a wider range of people into initiatives too: we’ve coupled footpath games with other fun things and also postcard surveys, Ideas Boards and QR codes to sites that provide more information on a project. Our tool comes with clear instructions and plenty of inspiration to help you get started.
